Shapers of the Southwestern Theological Tradition

David S. Dockery, W. Madison Grace II, and Malcolm B. Yarnell III, eds.

Shapers of the Southwestern Theological Tradition is a collection of essays written by current Southwestern faculty members that examines the lives of 80 former and current Southwestern faculty, including first and second presidents, B. H. Carroll and L. R. Scarborough, and other evangelists, theologians, Christian educators, and church music leaders who faithfully served at Southwestern. Edited by David S. Dockery, W. Madison Grace II, and Malcolm B. Yarnell III, the essays look at the lofty deeds, the worthy actions, the profound sacrifices, and the authentic love for Southwestern evidenced by so many who have gone before. Their examples continue to serve as encouragement to readers as they learn of early leaders who helped establish the Southwestern theological tradition of worshiping and serving the Triune God.
